
North York playing its second game in less than 48 hours did not have enough energy and healthy bodies to come back from a first half goal scored by TFC forward, Nicholas Lindsay at 34 minutes.
“The game in London on Friday evening had its toll on us today”, said assistant coach Gerardo Lezcano, we got back to Toronto at 2 am on Saturday and faced a rested TFC team less than 48 hours later.
The Astros’ suffered three injuries due to fatigue and the heat on Sunday as well as an undeserving red card to defender Alex Kawalit at 85 minutes, on a questionable call made by the referee of the game, Matt Arduini.
The next Astros’ home game is on Sunday, July 25; 3:45 pm kick off at Esther Shiner Stadium versus the Serbian White Eagles.
