Astros Suffer First Away Season Loss

North York – Monday, July 12 – The North York Astros suffered their first away season loss at the hands of the TFC Academy on Saturday July 10 by 2-1 score.

North York still missing players from their atrocious marathon last week, having to play two games in less than 48 hours, gave up a late goal by TFC midfielder, Brennan Mcnicoll at 83 minutes to break up a 1-1 tie and hand the Astros their second loss in a row.

 

Erik Grigore with his fifth of the season at the 37 minute-mark, was the lone scorer for the North York team that will see action again on Friday July 16 when they visit Portugal F.C. at Lamport Stadium, for an 8 pm kick-off.

 

 

The next Astros’ home game is on Sunday, July 25; 3:45 pm kick off at Esther Shiner Stadium versus the Serbian White Eagles.

 

The Astros, are celebrating their 20th year anniversary and remind everyone wearing an ORANGE TOP to our home games this season will be entitled to an ADMISSION ticket price of $5 per person over 13 years of age and all others under 13, will be admitted free of charge.

 

Tickets are available at the stadium on game day.

 

Gate opens 1 hour prior to kick off.
