North York – Thursday, November 12 – The North York Astros are pleased to announced that the Fall and Winter training program is underway at the COLUMBUS CENTRE.
Jorge Collazo, Director of Soccer for the Astros is very pleased with the 20 players in attendance and their commitment to work hard during this training program to obtain the proper physical conditioning to be able to compete at this level.
“We will see results in 3 weeks time and everyone will benefit in the long run “he said as the program is entering its second week of gym training.
The Astros will hold a tryout session at the Hangar at Downsview Park on Saturday, November 21, starting at 9:30am. All interested players as young as 15 years of age can apply by email at: http://www.northyorkastros.ca/page.php?page_id=13812
The Astros are planning to enter a senior indoor team and an U18 indoor team in an eleven a side league to be held at Lamport Stadium, starting in mid January.
